Past events in Zug

ESAF 2019
The 2019 Swiss Wrestling and Alpine Festival (ESAF) was one of the largest folk festivals in Switzerland, bringing over 420,000 visitors to Zug over three days. With 276 wrestlers, a huge temporary arena, and a comprehensive sustainability concept, the ESAF was a truly superlative festival. Zug demonstrated its exceptional hosting skills by organizing the first climate-neutral wrestling festival in history.

Jodlerfest 2023
In 2023, the Swiss Federal Yodeling Festival once again transformed Zug into a center of tradition and music. Around 150,000 visitors flocked to Lake Zug to experience the spectacle of yodelers, flag wavers, and alphorn players. The Yodeling Festival not only offered musical highlights but was also a living example of Switzerland's cultural heritage.
