The Special Olympics National Summer Games 2026 will take place in Zug from 28 to 31 May 2026. Following the election of the previous OC President, Martin Pfister, to the Federal Council, the local organisation of the Special Olympics National Summer Games Zug 2026 has appointed a new OC President as of 5 May 2025.

Eliane Müller, previously OC Vice President, is the new OC President of the organisation, which will host the National Summer Games in May 2026 for around 2,000 athletes in 16 sports. In addition to the OC presidency, Eliane Müller is also responsible for the Events and Hospitality sub-OC of the National Summer Games Zug 2026. Eliane Müller is very well connected in the Zug region and has been involved in the local organisation for over four years.

Eliane Müller is delighted with her additional responsibility: ‘For me, the National Summer Games Zug 2026 are much more than just a sporting event - they are a unique opportunity to connect people through the power of sport and create unforgettable experiences. As Vice OCP and Head of the Events sub-OC, I have already put my heart and soul into helping to successfully organise the Summer Games Zug 2026. In my new role as OCP and in my previous role as Head of Events, I would like to work with a dedicated team to make the Special Olympics National Summer Games Zug 2026 an inspiring experience for participants and spectators alike. This task fills me with pride and anticipation, and I will make full use of my organisational skills and enthusiasm. For me, this task is not just a responsibility, but an affair of the heart.’
