The Special Olympics National Summer Games 2026 in Zug offer five days full of sport, emotion, and community: after check-in and the pasta party on Wednesday, the Games kick off on Thursday evening with the grand Opening Ceremony. Friday and Saturday are dedicated to exciting competitions and inspiring medal ceremonies, accompanied by music, shows, and fun activities in the Olympic Town. On Saturday, the Kids & Family Day adds even more variety to the programme. On Sunday, the finals and the Closing Ceremony bring this unique event to a memorable conclusion.

How much theatre is there in sport? The ensemble of Theater HORA, renowned athletes of performance art, turn the stage into a playing field. Familiar forms of play such as football or tennis remain recognizable, but the rules and objectives shift. Alongside points and goals, expression, interaction, and presence also matter. Our understanding of performance is put to the test. Perhaps, for once, even the audience will be commented on, their excitement observed with anticipation. Each match is created in the moment: open, collective, and with an uncertain outcome.
