FAQ about registering as a volunteer

How do I register as a volunteer?
Through our registration portal. There you can enter your personal details, availability and preferred areas of assignment.

Who can register as a volunteer?
Anyone aged 16 and over who would like to be part of an inclusive and inspiring sporting event is warmly welcome. Prior experience is not required in most areas – what counts is motivation!

I have already pre-registered – do I need to register again?
Yes. The pre-registration was non-binding. Now you can make a binding registration for your assignment and complete all your data.

What areas of assignment are available?
You can, for example, apply for the following areas:
• Support of athletes
• Logistics and transport
• Catering
• Accreditation and reception
• Assistance during competitions
• Supporting programme and entertainment

In the portal, you can indicate your preferences – we will do our best to take them into account.

What happens after I register?
After your registration, we will review your details and preferences. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail. The detailed planning of assignments will start in January 2026 and is expected to last until the end of April 2026. In good time before the Games, you will be informed about your area of assignment, your shifts and everything you need to know. Of course, we are available for questions at any time.

How and when will I be briefed about my assignment?
All volunteers will receive a detailed briefing before the event. This will take place either online or on site – depending on the area and role. You will be informed about your exact assignment location, your tasks, your shifts and important organisational details. The briefing ensures that you are well prepared and can start your assignment with confidence.

How will my data be used?
Your details will be used exclusively for the planning and execution of volunteer assignments. They will be treated confidentially and will not be passed on to third parties.

What can I expect as a volunteer?
A unique experience full of encounters, emotions and team spirit. You will become part of a large community that makes an unforgettable event possible.
